What to expect during the onboarding process:

Step 1: Free Consultation​

  • Complete the "Discovery form" provided while scheduling your consultation.  This will allow us to get some information about your business prior to our meeting. 
  • We will have a phone/video conversation (your preference) about the needs and pain points of your business.  As well as what you are looking for in a bookkeeper.
  • View-Only access may be requested so we can get a feel for the status of your current books/financials.
  • After our initial call, if all parties desire to move forward, we will put together a proposal to be approved by you/your business.  (All owners must sign the agreement). 

Step 2: Engagement​

  • Once the proposal has been agreed upon by all parties, you will receive a written engagement letter.
  • An engagement letter is a contract between Bluebird Bookkeeping, LLC and your company.  It will include the scope of work to be provided and the pricing agreement for said work.  
  • All owners must sign the engagement letter and first months payment/retainer must be received before monthly/project services will be provided. 
  • The engagement letter will be accompanied by a Non-Disclosure agreement, so you will know your financial information is safe.  We will also include a Recurring ACH Payment Authorization, and monthly payments will be automatically deducted.  
  • There is no extended contract for services.   Services are provided Month-to-Month, 30 days notice to cancel (from both sides!)

Step 3: New Client Meeting​

  • After the engagement letter, NDA, and ACH Authorization have been completed, we will have a phone/video meeting where we will gather all necessary information to begin services. 
  • We will work on getting VIEW-ONLY access to all applicable accounts and/or give access to shared google drive folder.  
  • Already have Quickbooks Online? We will have you provide us with accountant access.  Need Quickbooks Online set up?  We will take care of that for a one time fee.
  • We will walk you through what documents and information we will need in order to accurately complete our services each month.  

Step 4: Monthly/Quarterly Upkeep 

  • After set up has been completed and payment has been received, we will be able to move forward with monthly bookkeeping! 
  • All services that have been agreed upon in the scope of work will be completed on a monthly or quarterly basis.  They will be completed by the agreed upon date. 
  • Please note, If documents and information are not provided in a timely manner turn around times may be affected.
